20. Small Group Tutor • Community Focussed Teaching (CFT Stopford OR Preston) • Year 3 Manchester or Preston delivery • Same content • Cover topics in dermatology/ophthalmology/ENT, occupational health, diabetes, cardiovascular systems. • Payment £440 per day

Clinical Intelligence Tutor • Year 3 in all Manchester sectors • During HLB block, 6-8 students for 7 weeks • Discuss issues raised by cases seen in hospital and GP – clinical presentation / differential diagnosis/ drugs/ ethics/ professionalism/ patient expectations • Payment £75 per hour • Session usually lasts 2-3 hours

22. PBL Tutor • Based in all sectors in teaching hospitals and some DGHs • Years 3 and 4 students – groups of 8 students • Required to attend ½ day training through the Staff Development Unit: • http://www.medicine.manchester.ac.uk/prime/ • Payment: £75 per hour • Session usually lasts 2-3 hours

23. Y3 Group (Hub & Spoke) PEP Lead • Hub & Spoke PEP = a central Hub for teaching and support plus Spokes for clinical experience • Hub is a group of 8 students, 1 day/week for 4 week block • Hub Lead teaches specialist topic to the group, sets quality & evidence based projects for the students to complete in Spoke placements and marks assessments • Runs twice per year, Jan/Feb and June/July • Payment: £2475 in total • Contact Jacqueline Pass on Jacqueline.Pass@manchester.ac.uk

24. Academic Advisor • Starts in Year 1 and goes through all years • Required to meet with the student twice a year (yr 1&2), four times a year (Yr 3 onwards) and write up notes for file. • Summative assessments portfolio reviews end Yr4 and 5. • Required to attend ½ day training • Receive an honorary contract • Payment: £220 per student per year – includes administration time • Contact Kenny Borland (kenny.borland@manchester.ac.uk)
