  4. Mitosis • Each Pollen Grain now has two haploid nuclei • (a) A Tube Nucleus • (b) A Generative Nucleus

  5. Each Species of Pollen is unique • Exine = Outer Protective Layer • Intine = Inner Protective Layer

  6. Mitosis • After Pollination the generative nucleus divides again • The Tube nucleus forms the pollen tube • The Generative Nucleus forms the 2 male Gametes
