  3. The Wickedness and Judgment of Man The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the Earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually and the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart so the Lord said “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

  4. Noah Pleases God In a world taken over by evil, violence and corruption, Noah was a righteous man. However, Noah wasn't just a righteous man, he was the only follower of God left on the earth. The Bible says he was blameless among the people of his time. It also says he walked with God. Living in a society saturated with sin and rebellion against God, Noah was the only man alive that pleased God. This does not mean Noah was perfect or sinless, but he loved God with his whole heart and was fully committed to obedience. Noah's life revealed qualities of patience and persistence, and his faithfulness to God did not depend on anyone else. His faith was singular and unshakable in a completely faithless society. Noah did everything just as God commanded. His life of 950 years exemplified obedience.

  5. The Ark Prepared God told Noah, “the end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth i filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” God told Noah, “Make an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. Make a window for the ark and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side and make it with lower , second and third decks. And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die but I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall get into the ark-you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

  6. God’s Instructions God also instructed Noah to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, both male and female, and seven pairs of all the clean animals, along with every kind of food to be stored for the animals and his family while on the ark. Noah obeyed everything God commanded him to do.

  7. The Great Flood Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household because I have seen that you are righteous to Me in this generation. You shall take with you the animals and birds to keep the species alive on the face of the earth. For after 7 days I will cause it to rain on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.” Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him. Noah was 600 years old when the flood waters was on the earth. Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered the ark and after 7 days that the waters of the flood were on the earth. In the sixth hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and the rain was on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights. Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark and it rose high above the earth. The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward and the mountains as well as all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered and all the flesh died that was on the earth man and animal and all that was on the dry land, died. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive. The flood waters were on the earth for 150 days.

  8. Noah’s Deliverance Then God remembered Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark. God made a wind pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained. At the end of the 150 days the waters decreased. The ark rested in the seventh month in the seventeenth day of the month on the mountains of Ararat. And the waters increased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month on the 1st day, the tops of the mountains were seen. At the end of forty days Noah opened a window and sent a raven which kept going to and fro until the waters had dried up. He then sent a dove which didn’t find a resting place for the sole of its foot so it came back so he waited 7 days and he sent the dove again , it returned with a freshly plucked olive leave. Noah waited for 7 days and sent the dove again and it never came back. In the six hundred and first year, in the 1st month, the 1st day of the month the waters were dried up from the earth and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked and indeed the surface of the ground was dry and in the 2nd month on the 27th day the earth was dried. God spoke to Noah and told him to go out of the ark him and his family and every living thing. Noah built an altar and offered burnt offerings. God blessed Noah and his sons and made a covenant to Noah saying that he will never again destroy the earth by flood and God set a rainbow in the cloud as a sign of the covenant between God and the earth.

  9. The Dove The dove is a symbol of peace. In Genesis 8 after the flood, a dove returned to Noah with an olive branch in its beak, revealing the end of God's judgment and the beginning of a new covenant with man.

  10. Rainbow= God’s Faithfulness The rainbow symbolizes God's faithfulness. Finally after an entire year, God invited Noah to come out of the ark. Immediately, he built an altar and worshiped the Lord with burnt offerings from some of the clean animals. God was pleased with the offerings and He promised to never again destroy the earth by flood. After the flood, God placed a rainbow in the sky as a sign of his covenant with Noah to never again destroy the earth and all living creatures by flood. (Genesis 9:12-16). In Revelation, John saw a rainbow around the throne in heaven.

  11. Pictures Wicked people who were not allowed to enter the ark. The ark rested on the mountains of Ararat Noah’s ark in the flood.
