Empowering Farmers: Insights from the Mali P4P Initiative

This presentation by Isabelle Mballa, Mali P4P Coordinator, outlines effective strategies for supporting farmers through improved market access, training, financial resources, and equipment. Key achievements include enhanced crop quality, farmers' negotiation skills, and the recognition of their crucial role in agriculture. However, challenges persist, such as limited access to credit and land for women, high-interest rates, and storage issues. Looking forward, a tailored training approach for farmers' organizations and strengthening partnerships are recommended to ensure sustainability and adaptability in local contexts.
