  1. KX-TDE100/200 System(Version 1.0) Panasonic Communications Co., Ltd. Office Network Company Edition 1.3 4th July, 2007 Chapter 5.1IP Networking Guide

  2. Chapter 5.1IP Networking Guide 1. IP-EXT and IP-PT communication 2. IPCMPR and IP-PT/SIP communication 3. VPN Networks – Meshed 4. VPN Networks – Hub and Spoke + IPCMPR 5. VPN Networks – Hub and Spoke + IPExt16 6. Appendix - Port number information

  3. IP-PT IP-PT 1. IPExt16 And IP-PT Call Signaling Path (MGCP) :Via IP-EXT Voice Traffic Path (RTP) : Via IP-EXT * IP-PTs do NOT communicate with each other directly. IP-EXT TDE Signaling Signaling Voice path Voice path IP-PT or NT-265M (NT-300 on IPExt16 will be available from TDE V.1.1)

  4. 2. IPCMPR And IP-PT Call Signaling Path (MGCP/SIP) : Via IPCMPR Voice Traffic Path (RTP) : Peer to Peer IP-PTs/SIP Phones communicates each other directly in Voice path. TDE(IPCMPR) Signaling Signaling NT300 / NT265D / SIP PT Voice path TEL1 (IP-PT / SIP Phone) TEL2 (IP-PT / SIP Phone)

  5. TEL1 (IP-PT / SIP Phone) TEL2 (IP-PT / SIP Phone) VPN 3. VPN Networks – Mesh Type There is no problem on a mesh type VPN network. TDE VPN Path VPN Router NT300 / NT265D / SIP PT Signaling Signaling Voice path VPN Router VPN Router

  6. TEL1 (IP-PT / SIP Phone) TEL2 (IP-PT / SIP Phone) VPN 4. VPN Networks – Hub/Spoke Type Peer-to-Peer Voice communication between TEL1 and TEL2 may fail since there is no direct VPN path between them. In this case, the network needs to be setup to enable the above communication via VPN Router (Center). In setting up the router, port number info may be required. (see Appendix) TDE VPN Path VPN Router(Center) 3.Voice path Signaring Signaring VPN Router VPN Router NT300 / NT265D / SIP PT

  7. IP-PT1 IP-PT2 5. VPN Networks – Hub/Spoke Type IP-EXT There is no problem on the Hub-and-Spoke type network with IP-EXT16 as this card does NOT establish a peer-to-peer voice path between IP-PTs. TDE VPN Router IP-PT or NT-265M (NT-300 on IPExt16 will be available from TDE V.1.1) Signaling 3.Voice path Signaling VPN VPN Router VPN Router

  8. 6. Appendix – Port Information This table shows the default port for IP-PT/SIP Phone communication (Please note, this is for calls to/from extensions, calls made to/from a trunk may use different ports – Please consult the appropriate guides for IPGW/SIPGW configurations further information).
