3. Official start of the 7thForum • First official meeting to prepare for the 7th Forum • with experts and stakeholders from all around the world • Promote attention and encourage more people to participate • In two years preparatory meetings • In the 7th World Water Forum in 2015

Design forum processes • The Kick-off meeting is an open session to make a sketch of the 7th Forum • Various opinions from water experts and stakeholders will be discussed • Major water issues will be selected for the 7th Forum • The basic framework of the Forum will be designed based on the issues discussed during the Kick-off meeting • Over the next 2 years, the discussion will be continued

5. Share the outcome of the 6th Forum • After the 6th Forum, the achievements and follow-up measures will be shared • The Kick-off meeting will promote the continuity of the World Water Forums • Enable participants to further advance discussion with the outcome of previous fora and bring the greatest result

Objectives • Plenary Session • Discussion of the core values of 7th World Water Forum • Present ideas on how to make this forum different and better • Define together what implementation requires • Share the results of the online survey on subject areas • Provide instructions for break-out sessions • Thematic Process • To make the list of sub-themes and prioritize them for each theme • To share ideas about ensuring implementation in each subject

Objectives • Science & Technology Process • To share ideas to design the Science & Technology process • To gather information about expected outcomes from the process • Regional Process • To share ideas to design the Regional process • To gather information about expected outcomes from the process • Political Process • To share ideas to design the Political process • To gather information about expected outcomes from the process

Objectives • Designing the 7th forum towards implementation • To share initial ideas about the forum design which assure implementation • Communication and Media • To gather ideas about developing the internal and international communication strategy for the 7th forum • Citizens and Youth • To gather ideas about building an effective water network and attracting attention of citizens to water issues

To make effective results from Break-out sessions • Each session provides presentation for conceptual idea about the subject (except Thematic Process session) • Each session provides the result of 6th forum (except Science & Technology Process session) • Each session will make roundtable work to gather ideas of the participants • Facilitators will lead each roundtable work to make effective discussion

Participants will have a better understanding and pro-actively attend the Forum • Have clear understanding of core values of the 7th World Water Forum and share them with other participants • Engaged in the preparation process of the 7th Forum, which will encourage them to pro-actively cooperate and participate in the Forum • The 7th Forum will succeed the outcome of the previous forums and present a more progressive direction • The Forum will build comprehensive consensus on strategic directions and structures of forum processes
