  3. Interior Tissue: Epidermis-Stomata open and close allowing for gas exchange and photosynthesis without drying plant

  4. Interior Tissue: Mesophyll the primary location of photosynthesis in the plant (contains chloroplasts)

  5. Interior Tissue: Xylem basic function is to transport water but it also transports some nutrients through the plant and provides structure

  6. Interior Tissue: Phloem living tissue that carries organic nutrients in particular, glucose, a sugar, to all parts of the plant where needed (carries photosynthesis products); structure
