NPSS ICALEPCS Liaison Report Peter Clout and Patrick LeDu July 13th 2013
Place, MOU and Program • The conference will be in The Hyatt Regency Embarcadero Center, San Francisco from October 7th to 11th 2013. • The MOU has finally been signed and is in place. • Patrick LeDu and I attended the program committee meeting in San Francisco in May and there is a healthy number of papers submitted.
Submissions So far there are no indications as to the likely impact of the US Government travel restrictions except that a number of papers have been withdrawn. However, is it not obvious that these withdrawals are other than normal.
Booth • The following ICALEPCS will be in Melbourne • The chairman is very concerned about the impact on attendance • I was able to gather some experiences from other IEEE conferences and I have supplied those. • He might expect a 15% drop and perhaps more as the Australian ICALEPCS community is quite small • In addition, Australia is quite expensive these days.
