Chad Townsend of the Marine Corps (who lives in Hawaii) • Four children: Bryson (11), Kadence (7), Seneca (5), Taelyn (3) • Live in Dillsburg

Classroom Policies • Students will be expected to follow all school rules outlined in the Code of Conduct at all times • Responsibility and accountability are stressed • Calculators- I have some for classroom use, but students benefit greatly from their own • Textbooks- kept in the classroom (except Algebra II), may be checked out if they desire

  5. Grading Policy • Grade Weights: • 50% Tests • 25% Quizzes • 25% Homework, Classwork, Projects, Class Participation, etc. • Updated on HAC regularly- get a password from guidance if you do not have one • Midterm Exam (January) and Final Exam (June)

  6. Carnegie- Cognitive Tutor • 100 point test grade EVERY marking period • Students must complete 15 units a marking period • Worked on once a week in class • Should be worked on outside of class as well • Study Halls • Computer Lab • Library • At Home http://online.carnegielearning.com/

Acceleration • Additional Math Help, every other day • Opportunities to work on Carnegie, receive help, complete math homework, preview and review material covered in class, prep for Classroom tests, Midterms/Finals, Keystone Exams, and PSSAs • Focus placed on problem-solving strategies and effective approaches to math problems • Grading- 15 points daily • 5 points Do Now • 5 points Activity • 5 points Participation
