Prof. Doering at Fudan • Visited Fudan University In early 1980 as one of first come foreign scholars. • Launched a 3-month workshop and taught courses on Organic Chemistry and Physical Organic Chemistry to about 50 teachers from key universities around the country. • Promoted academic exchange between the national chemistry community and the international counterparts. • Initiated the prestigious CGP program. About 50 undergraduates were admitted annually by well-known US universities like Harvard, Yale ,Princeton and etc. as Ph. D. candidates. • Received “Honorary Professor of Fudan University” title with the approval of The National Ministry of Education.
