This document presents key findings from the 2002 National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) related to breastfeeding behaviors among U.S. women aged 15-44. Detailed statistics include the percentages of women who ever breastfed, the age of initiation for complementary feeding, and the duration of breastfeeding across various demographics, including race and Hispanic origin. The findings also shed light on maternal characteristics such as income, education, and marital status and their influence on breastfeeding patterns.
