    3. Secretory portion – cellular types Serous cells: Round, euchromatic nucleus; double stain cytoplasm : basal pole - basophilic, apycal pole - acidophilic Organized in acini or serous demilunes Mucous cells: Basal, flattened nucleus; pale cytoplasm (acidophilic); Organized in tubes or acini
