CIO/OFT Notification Plan to Purchase Policy for Telecommunications New York State agencies are reminded that they must submit a Notification of Plan to Procure Technology Form (PTP) to the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for approval prior to purchasing Telecommunications services or equipment regardless of the dollar amount. Lot Group 1 – Voice Services CIO/OFT Approval Required • All Service involving CIO/OFT Centralized (Enterprise) Telecommunications Services • Local Exchange Services • Centrex Service • VoIP Service • Toll Free Service – Dedicated Access Facilities • Toll Free Service – Switched Access Facilities

  5. Lot Group 1 – Voice Services CIO/OFT Approval is NOT Required • Long Distance Services • Calling Card Services • Directory Assistance Services • Pay Telephone (Coin) Services

  6. Lot Group 2 – Connectivity Services CIO/OFT Approval Required • All Service involving connectivity to the NYeNet • Private Line Data Services • Frame Relay Services • ATM Services • SONET Services • Ethernet Services • Dark Fiber Solutions *

  7. Lot Group 2 – Connectivity Services CIO/OFT Approval is NOT Required • Switched 56kbps Services • ISDN Services • xDSL Services • Broadband Cable Services * • Fixed Wireless Services **
