  3. Starting School Pack • School admission form • Intimate Care policy (if not at Pre-school) • Inhaler form • Letter and number formation • Know It All disk • My First Day at School • Safeguarding leaflet • Acceptable use letter • Attendance return slip • Evaluation form • Playground HAPPE

  4. Home visits These will be in September in the two days before the children start. This is a great opportunity for us to see the child relaxed and in their home environment. We will send you an email after the visit in June with more details.

  5. First DayGetting to know the routines

  6. School Routines • 8.50 am Whistle blown and children line up (front playground) Please encourage your child to stand in line independently. • 9.10 am Assembly • 10.30 am Playtime and snack • 10.45 am Milk/Water • 12.00-1.15 pm Lunch • 3.15 pm End of school day Please collect your child from the back playground. Teachers will be available at the end of everyday to discuss any concerns or queries

  7. Foundation Stage Curriculum • This is a continuation of your child’s Pre-School/Nursery experiences. • All learning is introduced in fun, exciting and stimulating ways. • This prepares them for future work in Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) and also gives them life skills for adulthood.

  9. A Day in Reception

  10. School Lunches • All children are entitled to a free hot lunch. • All food is sourced locally and provides a balanced, nutritious and healthy diet. • All meals are cooked on site each day. • Please help your child choose their meal so that they are clear about what they are having each day.

All About Me Booklet • Every child will start their booklet during their visit to their class in July in the week beginning 8th. • Please complete the booklet at home and send it into school in your child’s book bag in September when they start school. • Tapestry – if your child is at a setting that uses Tapestry please could you ask them to send us a code that we can use to access their learning journeys. (Not our Pre-School)
