  2. SUMERIA • 1500 a. C. Es considera que conté el primer text acompanyat de signes musicals.

  3. EGIPTE • També té un sistema de escriptura musical, la quironomia. Consistia en un sistema de representació de notes musicals mitjançant gestos realitzats amb mans i braços.

  4. GRÈCIA • Els antics grecs escrivien música amb un sistema de lletres. S’anomena a aquesta escriptura musical, notació alfabètica.

  6. Edat Mitjana • L’escriptura musical es feia amb neumes, que eren uns símbols que indicaven si en cada síl·laba s’havia d’apujar o abaixar la entonació, però no indicaven la nota en concret.

  8. Els Neumes • Primer s’escrivien sense cap línia, i després al voltant d’una sola. Poc a poc va augmentar el número de línies fins a 4. El TETRAGRAMA. • Aquestes partitures eren les que feien servir en el cant gregorià. S’assemblaven ben poc a les partitures actuals.
