  1. ZAINAB binte-ALI (AS) About seven kilometers to the south-east of Damascus (Syria) there is a Holy Shrine visited every year, by thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Its two minarets, tell the visitors from a long distance away of the greatness and glory of its incumbent, Sayyeda Zainab (AS) daughter of Hazrat Ali (AS).

She was born to a family formed by the Prophet (SAW), the most outstanding figure in history.

  23. Lady Zainab was known for her excellent morals, her intense worship, her great knowledge and her eloquence. Her veil was snatched away in Karbala, indeed one of the aims of the veil is to promote the recognition of the women for their characteristics rather than their appearance.

  24. Sura 24 verse31 says: " Say to the believing women that they should cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof: that will make  greater purity for them: and God is well acquainted with all that they do.
