  7. Valley view’s art class Art class is a creative place. It is were you draw, paint, color, do lots of projects and many more. This class is lead by Mrs. Whiting. She is the best art teacher and is excited to work with the best students. This year, Ms Whiting is having students do some kind of self portrait out of recycled materials. She is also thinking of doing some kind of recycled material animal or dinosaur with the younger students.

  11. ANIMAL HABITAT • The animal habitat is unique to Valley View. It is the only school in the district to have one on campus. Students and teachers help maintain the animal habitat. Terri and James are both Americorps workers who are very important in keeping the animals healthy. They feed the animals and give them water. Here is what has been going on in the habitat and a list of what animals we have on campus.

  12. Population • The population is about 86% Hispanic students. • The rest are other races and ethnicities (example: black, white, and mixed or other.) • They have 18 teachers and staff

  20. Interviewing the Principal: By: Brianna Gomez at valley view… • What is it about Valley View that is so special? Valley View has amazing kids and the kind of work that they do is wonderful. They do a great job inside the classroom and outside, whether in sports, animal habitat, or other activities. • What is the best thing about being a principal? The best thing about being a principal is being able to support teachers and students to help make things better. • What will you do when you retire? What is your favorite hobby? My plan is to work with helping adults and improving the orchard so we can have fresh fruit for the cafeteria. I enjoy hiking, reading, and farming.

  28. Who goes to Valley View? • The road that goes to Valley view school are S. 6th Ln, S. 5th Ln, S.5th Ave, W.Highline Canal St, S 6th Ave, W. Caldwell, W. Winston, W. South Mountain, W. Coles Rd, W Allen St, W. Samantha Way and some other streets and roads near that school.
