Congratulations but… • We are not done yet! • Expectations for behavior, dress, and academics continue until. • Commencements (not May 20) Expectations for Prom, Last Day, Honors Assembly, Class Picture, Caps and Gowns, and Commencement must be strictly adhered to in order to avoid tragic consequences.

  3. Prom – May 5th • Normal behavior expectations apply (tobacco, alcohol, profanity, insubordination, etc.) • Dress expectations are posted in the office (no bare mid-riff or sides, etc) • Normal dance expectations • Be SAFE!!! • No Senior Skip Day!!!!!!! Cedar Point Trips are NOT school sponsored. Buses should not depart from CAHS. Please do not post flyers throughout the school. • Daily Attendance and losing credit.

  4. Seniors Last DayMay 18th • Final Exams • May 14th-18th • Remember that this is not the day of celebration…those who disrupt the educational process, vandalize school property, or are generally insubordinate may NOT have an opportunity to celebrate on May 31st!!! • Water fights, egging, etc. will not be tolerated…charges will be pressed this year and every year into the future.

  5. Notification to Non-Graduates (5-23-12) • Only students that have earned 23.5 credits will be allowed to walk at Commencement…NO EXCEPTIONS! • Only students that have earned 24 credits by 5-25-12, paid all fines, and have met general behavior expectations will be given a diploma on May 31st.

  6. May 29, 2012 • Honors Assembly REQUIRED Rehearsal (12:45) • Seniors receiving honors cumulative GPA 3.0-4.0 • Class Picture (1:15) in the main gym • Caps and Gown Distribution…ALL FINES MUST BE PAID IN FULL! (1:45 p.m.) • Honors Assembly…Seniors wear Caps & Gowns (Starting at 6:00, arriving at 5:30) for Seniors receiving honors. 3.0-4.0 Any senior may attend. • Submit your Scholarships (ALL) to Guidance Off • College Applications

  7. May 31, 2012 • MANDATORY COMMENCEMENT PRACTICE at Perani Event Center promptly at 9:30 a.m.!! (at least 1 student each of the last three years has not walked due to missing this mandatory practice) • COMMENCEMENT begins at 7:00 p.m. sharp!! (Seniors must report by 6:15)

  8. COMMENCEMENT EXPECTATIONS • Dress Expectations • Males: Dress shirts, dress slacks, dress shoes (No T-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes, or beach sandals) • Females: Street-length dresses, skirts, or dress slacks, dress shoes (No T-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes, or beach sandals/flip flops)

COMMENCEMENT EXPECTATIONS • Behavior Expectations • This is a ceremony!!! • Demonstrate pride, class, and dignity • Side conversations, “Cat Calls,” and noise makers or signs of any kind are not only rude and obnoxious, but they are also prohibited • Nothing can be placed/painted on the caps other than the provided tassel • Parents are not allowed down on the staging area • Photos (one free picture, order forms available through the mail)

General Expectations • After May 18, seniors should NOT be in the school for any reason other than the payment of fines in the office (with the exception of May 29) • Ensure that you are at the REQUIRED rehearsals!!! • Remember that Prom, Honors Assembly, and Commencements are a privilege and do not put yourself in a situation where you might lose such privileges!!!

  11. Enjoy Your Last Few Weeks • Finish Your High School Career with Pride • Take Care of all Business– Reduce Stress • Make Good Choices • Share Your Appreciation w/ Your Teachers

  12. Teacher/Staff Appreciation • Purpose: An opportunity to say thank you to any teacher and/or staff members who have had a significant impact in your life while attending CAHS. • Thank you cards available in your senior English class and in the Main Office. Turn them in to your teacher or the Main Office when completed. Deadline will be May 20th.
