  3. ETE 335 Elementary Social Studies Lesson deBono’s Thinking Hats Goals: Students will be able to make choices based on their needs, wants, and resources to make economical purchases. Students will be able to determine why producers make what they make Objectives: Content/Knowledge: Name specific examples of a resource that may be scarce Process/Skills: Determine the amount of money needed to purchase a good or service Values/Dispositions: Students should understand why something costs what it costs

  6. Objective We will discuss and define a few terms like resources products producers and consumers Students will memorize these terms and be able to match them to their meanings on a quiz Quiz

  8. Intuitive We will in class talk about the things that they want to buy and the things that they need to survive. Students will write down the top five things that they need to survive and then the top five things that they want to have that they do not need We will then rate the top five in the class for each and make a poster

  14. Creative In class we will discuss making money and spending money As a class project we will have a class store were they can buy products and then they can resell or trade products based on their needs
