  35. BMC Event Management Strategy & Optional Migration Program

  36. BMC Event Management Strategy • BMC Event Manager is our strategic event management solution. • BMC Event Manager as the strategic event management solution offers many exciting capabilities and provides a tight integration to many other BMC solutions such as BMC Service Impact Manger, BMC Performance Manager, Remedy Service Desk and the rest of the Remedy ITSM suite. As the foundation for SIM, BEM is a key solution in BMC’s BSM strategy • BMC PATROL Enterprise Manager v4.5.00 in May 2007 will be the final release of this solution. No new platforms or database versions will be supported. The solution will continue to be supported for 3 years from that date. • BMC recommend that BMC PATROL Enterprise Manager customers migrate to BMC Event Manager. BMC Event Manager is receiving significant investment and new features and functions will be available in this solution. BMC has provided a license migration program and also has an optional services program to assist with migration process. ©2005 BMC Software

  37. PATROL EM Customer options • Option 1: Fully migrate from a BMC PATROL EM installation to a BMC Event Manager solution. • Migrate all features and functions of current BMC PATROL EM implementation to a BMC Event Manager solution. • Available resources: • License Migration program. • Swap like for like products. • Services program. • BMC Consulting Services Sure Start program and methodology available to assist in migrations. ©2005 BMC Software
