Geography • Australia is north west of Indonesia and Indonesia is south east to Australia • Indonesia is made up of aprox 17,508 islands with just over 6,000 inhabited. • the main islands of Indonesia are: Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, and Bali. • The main cities are: Jankata, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan and Palembang. • The name of the capital city of Indonesia is Jakarta. • The population is: 237,424,363 people living in Indonesia, give or take a few

  4. Enonomy • Indonesia's currency is called rupiah. • Indonesias main export is cattle

Environment • Native wildlife: Babirusa, Sulawesi Macaque, Short-Clawed, Otter, Siamang, Komodo dragon, Samaritan tiger, Sun Bear. • Flora: Indonesia has more than 30 000 species of flowers, including thousands of different orchids, hibiscus, wax ginger flower and rhododendrons. • The climate of Indonesia is almost entirely tropical, with a average of 28C.

Culture • People: there are more than 300 ethnic groups in Indonesia, Javanese, Sundanses, Malay and Madurses are some of the most popular ethnic groups in Indonesia. • Food: Indonesian food is rich in spices, they make lots of currys, satay (with peanut sauce) , rice, beef rendang, • Arts: • Language: more than 700 living launguges are spoken in indonesia

  7. History • Netherlands, Dutch and the Japanese use to rule Indonesia. • In 1948 Indonesia gained full independence from their Dutch rulers.

  8. Religion Hindu, protestant, catholic and Muslim are the four most popular religions in Indonesia.
