How can physiotherapy help in cervical spondylosis? Have you been experiencing pain around your neck a lot? Chances are you are suffering from Cervical Spondylosis Treatment. It is necessary to get yourself checked from a doctor and confirm it before trying out any treatment on your own.
What is cervical spondylosis? Cervical spondylosis is a condition affecting the back side of your neck. The neck is made up of seven small bones known as vertebrae. The seven vertebrae have shock absorbing discs in between them. These discs are tough and have a fibrous outer layer with a gel-like core. These discs are responsible for making the neck move in a positive direction. However, these are easily affected due to cervical spondylosis. Cervical spondylosis refers to the wear and tear of the shock-absorbing discs. The wear and tear usually happens due to increasing age. With age, these thick shock-absorbing discs become thinner and the vertebrae edge becomes rough. The ligaments, muscles and nerves eventually become irritated due to the changes of disc shape and vertebrae smoothness. This is the beginning of cervicals spondylosis
Symptoms How can physiotherapy help me? If you have been showing the symptoms of cervical spondylosis, reaching out to a doctor can be of great help. The physiotherapist before starting the treatment will analyse your condition. Since cervical spondylosiss varies from being mild to serious, they would prepare a plan accordingly. Rather than visiting a doctor, cervical spondylosis can be treated at home with the help of a physiotherapist. Different exercises are practised to gain control over your neck muscles.
