This study explores an innovative object-oriented approach to Geographic Information System (GIS) data management, emphasizing its significance in developing 3D city geographical information systems. It addresses the challenges of conventional techniques, including poor interoperability and adaptability, and highlights the necessity for enhanced object-oriented methodologies in GIS architecture. The paper discusses the strengths of object-oriented database management systems (OODBMS) over traditional relational databases, such as improved modeling capabilities, extensibility, and better query support. Future work will focus on advancing 3D GIS through object-oriented development.
