  2. MIP Audit Lead Role FunctionalityOverview Welcome to the Audit Lead tutorial of the “MIP Workbench: Revisions” course. The role of the Audit Lead is usually equivalent to a Lead Engineer or Regional Manager position. The user with the role of Audit Lead has the responsibility of auditing the case review of a project that is processed by a Cooperating Technical Partner (CTP). CTPs are one type of Processing Partner for FEMA. Audit Lead Functionality: It is the role of the Audit Lead to track the audit of a project in the MIP. A project will appear on an Audit Lead’s workbench once the Task Lead of a CTP has completed the Process Request activity. Once the Audit Determination activity is completed by the Audit Lead it will be pushed in the workflow to the FEMA Revision Lead. Revisions Workflow Link 4

MIP Audit Lead Role FunctionalityOverview: Log in The website to access the MIP is http://hazards.fema.gov Once you navigate to this webpage you must go to the login screen to login as an authenticated user by entering your username and password. NOTE: After 3 failed login attempts, you will be locked out and will need to contact MIPHelp to regain access. 4

  4. MIP Audit Lead Role FunctionalityOverview: Welcome Screen After successfully logging in as an authenticated user, the MIP Welcome screen will appear. This is where the Audit Lead’s workbench can be accessed. The workbench is comprised of various tabs which will lead you to different portals within the MIP. The tabs available within the workbench are • Work Items • Project Dashboard • Reports & Form Letters • Search & Retrieve Data • Create Project Other useful links on the Welcome Screen: Map Modernization – helpful links to FEMA main website • Tools & Links – allows Task Lead to upload to Content Manager outside the workflow • Learning – link to Learning Management System (LMS) along with other helpful links • Map Viewer – search for flood map info • Process Admin – tool for PA role users 4

  5. MIP Audit Lead Role FunctionalityOverview: Workbench The Audit Lead’s workbench is the location where the activity Audit Determination can be accessed. The Audit Lead will primarily use the Work Items tab, however each tab on the workbench contains specific functionality: Work Items • Displays cases tracked in MIP based on user’s role, geography, and organization • Project Dashboard • Quick visual tracking tool • Reports & Form Letters • Run various reports and generate draft LOMR determination document and cover letter • Search & Retrieve Data • Find and download data stored in Content Manager • Create Project • Location where user’s with the Project Admin role can create projects 5

  6. MIP Audit Lead Role FunctionalityAudit Determination: Claim an Activity The Work Item List will display all projects associated with the Audit Lead’s role, geography, and organization. If another user has the same role, geography, and organization, then both users will see the same projects on their Work Item List. To claim a project, click the green Claim button. Once a project is claimed it will no longer appear on other user’s Work Items List. Once a project is claimed the Item Name will activate into a hot link which the user can click to launch the activity. Click the hot link to launch the activity 4

MIP Audit Lead Role FunctionalityAudit Determination Audit Determination: This is the activity where the Audit Lead will complete one of the following actions: • Approve • Return • Audit Not Required Once the case file has been received, enter the date it was received in the Case File Received Date field. The select the appropriate choice from the Audit Results dropdown. Comments may be provided which will appear on the Review Module in downstream workflow activities. 4

  8. MIP Audit Lead Role FunctionalityAudit Determination: Review Data Review Data Module: All information associated with the Review Data Received activity can be viewed from this module. To expand a single module, click the arrow located to the left of the module name. To view all modules, click the Expand All hot link to show all data fields and information entered.

MIP Audit Lead Role FunctionalityAudit Determination: Complete Task Click here to expand the Work Item List Complete Task: A brief reminder message will be displayed reminding that once the Complete Task button is clicked, the Audit Lead will no longer be able to work in this activity and the project will then progress to the next step in the workflow, which belongs to the FEMA Revision Lead.
