Section Business Meeting • Led by Presiding Section Chair, minutes by Vice Chair • Likely Agenda Items: • Message from one of the Presidents (also appreciation certificate) • Review of Section Activity (Presiding Section Chair) • Section Board Member Report • Annual Meeting update (staff will provide report) • Publications update (staff will give or provide report) • Society Budget update (staff will give or provide report) • Membership update (staff will give or provide report) • Changes in Reinvest ASA for 2013 (?) • Section-level 2013 meeting session/symposia discussions • Section and ASA President-Elect nominations for 2013 ballot, with the results forwarded by the Section Board Rep at the Board meeting on Thursday of the Annual Meeting • Section Chair files annual report by Dec. 31st

Candidates Needed for 2013 Ballot Agronomic Production Systems Vice Chair (2 candidates needed) Biometry and Statistical Computing Vice Chair (2 candidates needed) Climatology and Modeling Vice Chair (2 candidates needed) Education and Extension Vice Chair (2 candidates needed) Environmental Quality Vice Chair (2 candidates needed) Board Rep.(2 candidates needed) Global Agronomy Vice Chair (2 candidates needed) Land Management and Conservation Vice Chair (2 candidates needed) Early Career Board Representative 2 candidates to be solicited from Early Career Members Committee Industry Board Representative 2 candidates to be solicited from Membership &Society Identity Committee ICCA Board Representative 2 candidates to be solicited from ICCA Executive Committee The successful candidates will serve as Section Vice Chair January 1 – December 31, 2014 and Section Presiding Chair January 1 - December 31, 2015. Representatives to the Board of Directors will serve January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2016.

Community Business Meeting • Led by Presiding Leader, minutes by Vice Leader • Likely Agenda Items: • Review of past year’s activities • Discussion of ideas of future activities of the community • Sessions/symposia for 2013 • Webpage content • Social networking • Conference calls • Recruitment into the community • Support for student events or awards • Take nominations and conduct the election for a new Vice Leader, with results passed on to Sara Uttech • Meeting minutes forwarded to the Section Chair to be included with the Section Annual report

Section and Community Posters • All ASA Sections and Communities will have a 4’x4’ poster (44.5" x 44.5" so that they don’t go right to the edges) • Located all week near the entrance of the Exhibit Hall •  There will also be a tag with their Section/Community name on it in the upper corner of their board •  Potential content: • Business meeting time, day, location, and agenda • Community information and how to join (see My ASA Communities page at: www.agronomy.org/account/communities/asa) • Schedule of sessions for the week • Pictures and contact information for leaders, section officers, including your board representative • Sign-up sheet for 2013 symposia, topical sessions, or tours • General comments
