  5. Our History Founded in 1971, HDC MidAtlantic is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with a volunteer board of directors One of the largest non-profit providers of affordable rental housing in PA First community, Trinity House Apts. located in Columbia, PA

  7. What is affordable housing? Lancaster County Area Median Income$65,600 Family of 4 Individuals- (2 BR Apt.) Income Limit Rent (20% AMI) $13,900 $313 (40% AMI) $27,800 $626 (50% AMI) $34,750 $782 (60% AMI) $41,700 $939 (LIHTC 2013)

  8. Renters spending more than 30% of their income on housing costs & utilities are cost burdened. Renters spending more than 50% of their income on housing costs & utilities are severely cost burdened. What is affordable housing?   9. How’s the supply of affordable housing? Nationally, for every 100 extremely low income households, there are only 30 affordable units available. The supply of QUALITY, low-income housing rental units is shrinking as more units fall into disrepair or serve higher-income households. Among low-income households, those that are elderly, blind or disabled and are on a LIMITED INCOME have the most LIMITED CHOICES in accessible housing.
