  3. Assessment at The Bradley Center • Compass Learning Odyssey • Daniel Memorial Institute Independent Living Skills System • Woodcock-Johnson Test of Achievement • Wide Range Achievement Test • Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children • Weschler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence

  4. Compass Learning Odyssey • Pre-test upon admission • Based on PA Standards and Anchors • Creates a learning path based on the objective-based test results • Test data is given to teachers to individualize classroom instruction

  5. Compass Learning Odyssey • Post-test upon discharge or completed learning path • Generate reports giving you the ability to compare the data

  6. Why do we use Odyssey? • Attached directly to the standards and anchors • Generates activities that allow the students to work independently • Time saving aspects • Drives instruction • The kids like it!

Other Ways We Use Odyssey • Summer Tutoring Program • Generate reports based on all activities completed in Odyssey over the entire school year. • Identify standards that need remediation • Print worksheets from Odyssey that are directly related to the standard that needs remediation • Create tests in Odyssey using only the standards that were covered to gather and compare data

  9. Independent Living Skills • Computer Based or Paper Based • Assesses students in 16 independent living categories • Ability to generate various reports • Post-Test our students yearly to see their progress

  11. Brainstorming Session • Break up into groups • Discuss the following: • Current practices at your district/facility • Ways to make current practices more modern • Ways to make your current practices easier
