The last thing you want is to send your latest product off to be printed just to find out it can't because you used a copyrighted image. “Who cares?” you could be thinking. “Everyone uses copyrighted material on a regular basis.” While you aren't always correct, that doesn't imply the law will support you. Do you really want a cease-and-desist letter for your new best-selling t-shirt?

  3. You don't, of course. First, you'll learn everything there is to know about property! This means that t-shirts made with the material will not be sold, and future t-shirt manufacture will be halted as well. Is the material being used in advertisements? It's time to remove them from their perches.

  4. You'll also have to supply a complete account of the remaining stock of the infringing goods, as well as the stores you've advertised them to, the sales you've made off of them, and the designer's contact information, among other things.
