  3. TEKS • Kindergarten • (1)  Perception. The student develops and organizes ideas from the environment. The student is expected to: • (A)  identify colors, textures, forms, and subjects in the environment. • (2)  Creative expression/performance. The student expresses ideas through original artworks, using a variety of media with appropriate skill. The student is expected to: • (A)  create artworks, using a variety of colors, forms, and lines;

  4. Questions to Think About • What are the Primary and Secondary colors? • What are the colors of things you see out side? • Ex: trees, grass, dirt, road, etc. • What colors can be mixed to make another color?

  5. Students Will Learn • How to make a color wheel • How to successfully mix colors • Colors that are in our everyday outside environment

  6. Techniques • Art Activities • Class Discussions

  7. Art Activities • Children will make a color wheel with the 3 primary colors and have to mix the colors themselves for the colors that go in between • Do a free art activity of the outside environment using many colors.

  8. Class Discussion • Talk to the children about what colors mix to make what colors • Let the children get up and talk about their picture of the outside environment.
