Challenges for building and construction industry regarding the quality of the labour force • Need for the development of a labour force better qualified, more flexible, and more competitive • Migrant fluxes of the labour force to and from Romania • Need for eliminating the deficit of the labour force for some certain occupations and/or specialised competences • Fight against aging by attracting young and qualified labour force
Objectives • More and better focused investments for VET and CVT • Increased volume of vocational education and training activities, in terms of offer and of participation of individual employees - Improved access for individuals to initial and continuing vocational training for building and construction sector
Direction of action • Implementation of sector related to NQF (national qualification framework) • quality assurance of VET for construction industry • Co-operation with national, regional and local organisations responsible for VET and CVT - Administration of vocational qualification framework for building and construction sector - Development of partnerships with similar European and international organisations
Main activities • Organise and implement CVT programs for trainers, assessors and other training programs needed by the market: site management, construction management, OHS, environment, project management, etc • Organise of master courses for engineers and managers from construction companies • Co-operate with national and sectoral institutions responsible for VET • Manage the sectoral qualification framework in order to ensure a robust, consistent and relevant training offer
Main activities • Training needs assessment and other research needed by companies • Publishing and printing of various publications in the sector of building, construction, building materials and training for the sector • Technical assistance in setting up a training centres, and assessment centres • Development of occupational standards and curricula
