  2. Materials You Need : • 2 pieces of fabric (each a little over 16” by 16”) • a sewing machine • fabric stuffing • scissors • some pins

  3. Step 1 : Place the Two Pieces of Fabric Together First, you must place the two pieces of fabric together. REMEMBER: Have the sides of the fabric with the pattern together so that on the outside only the non-patterned side shows.

  4. Step 2 : Pin the Two Pieces of Fabric Together Take your pins and pin the two pieces fabric together.

  5. Step 3 : Start the Machine! Put your pined pieces of fabric together under the sewing needle and pull down the latch that keeps the fabric steady.

  6. Step 4 : Begin Sewing Begin to sew. When you start slightly (and lightly) press the foot pedal. Only do about two centimeters of this.

  7. Step 5 : Tying a Knot To tie a knot you pull down the latch (or button) to your right. This makes the needle sew backwards. Sew backwards for about one centimeter then continue onward. This photo to the right is a button.

  8. Step 6 : Finish the Side So now you just sew in a straight line down the side of the fabric.

  9. Step 7 : Get a New Side When you get close to the end of the fabric, lift the latch that holds the fabric down and adjust the fabrics so that there is a new side with nothing sewn on it.

  10. Step 8 : Bring Down the Latch Put the latch down again.

  11. Step 9 : ‘Keep On Swimming’ Sew on.

  12. Step 10 : Repeat Repeat this step until you get to your last side.

  13. Step 11 : Leave an Inch….. On your last side leave an inch of space open with no stitching.

  14. Step 12 : Tying a Knot (Again) Make sure you tie a knot again.

  15. Step 13 : Give It a Tug Now lift the latch that holds the fabric down and pull the fabric out a little.

  16. Step 14 : Thread’s Tiny Trail The thread should follow in a tiny trail, cut the thread’s trail with your scissors.

  17. Step 15 : Turn It In Next, turn the fabrics so that the two patterned sides are on the outside.

  18. Step 16 : Stuff! Then, stuff the pillow to your likings.

  19. Step 17 : Flaps After, you should see two flaps of non-sewed fabric at the edge where the opening is.

  20. Step 18 : Turn It In Turn them in and put it in the sewing machine.

  21. Step 19 : Wrap It Up! Make a knot and sew the end of the space then tie another knot.

  22. Step 20 : Pull and Cut Pull your pillow out and cut extra not needed thread.

  23. Handy Hints!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you find out that when stitching on the sewing machine you have trouble, then before you start sewing put a lined piece of paper under the machine and practice going over the straight lines. Also make sure your fingers are not near the sewing needle.
