  11. Youth Guided Remember Youth Guided means that young people have the right to be empowered, educated, and given a decision making role in the care of their own lives as well as the policies and procedures governing care for all youth in the community, state and nation.  This includes giving young people a sustainable voice and the focus should be towards creating a safe environment enabling a young person to gain self sustainability in accordance to the cultures and beliefs they abide by. Further, through the eyes of a youth guided approach we are aware that there is a continuum of power and choice that young people should have based on their understanding and maturity in this strength based change process. Youth guided also means that this process should be fun and worthwhile.

  12. The Three R’s • Remember ~youth and families are at the core of all that we do • Rededicate ~to system of care values and principles • Rejoice ~Your accomplishments, your spirit, and your resiliency

  13. Leadership "You know, it's easy for the Monday morning quarterback to say what the coach should have done, after the game is over. But when the decision is up before you - and on my desk I have a motto which says 'The Buck Stops Here' - the decision has to be made.” Harry S. Truman, President Address to the National War College on December 19, 1952

  14. Work together. There is strength in numbers…
