  2. Review of so far Throughout the first six units I have explored different aspects of animation, conducting research into the many methods of animation and the time and skill it takes to create one for all formats. I have delved deeper into the workings of my favourite animations and henceforth used that knowledge to conduct my own animations and think more about the meaning and depth behind every facet within the animation, in a sense, making sure all its and contributes to whatever is going on. Otherwise the animation would be disjointed and confusing. I have developed more understanding about various aspects of sound and video and how sound and music are both a part of each other and also not, and both can create a different perspective for a video. I have also learned a great deal about computer software used to help with illustration and animation. While I found that animation is aspiring to complete, I learned that its not something you can whip up or rush to do, its complex and time consuming and you have to respect that it’s not going to be completed without time or patience. But I would like to complete my final major project in this because it’s a passion of mine which I would like to accomplish and I want to test myself, I want to prove to myself that something tiring and frustrating sometimes, such as 2D stop still animation which is what I would like to complete my final major project as, is something I can accomplish.

  3. The concept My final concept is to complete a 2D hand drawn stop and still animation, based on an animal fantasy story I developed a while ago. It concerns wolves and snow leopards and bears, all rivals in their world but the change begins when a mother wolf adopts an orphan snow leopard. This in itself sounds rather boring and uninteresting so I want to think about how I could make this story heart pounding or the small couple minutes of animation from it heart pounding. What section of the story would I choose? I will be conducting research on my favourite animations and watch my favourite Disney and Pixar and DreamWorks films and listen too their music too. I would like my animation to be driven by an instrumental piece of music. I anticipate producing a fairly good piece of work I hope if I can keep to the time allotted. I want to create a piece that is five minutes long, but I know that I need to research that and see how many frames I would do per second and if that is possible for my time given. I understand that I might have to use Photoshop on some areas of my animation, for example the scenery. I might outline the background or fade was it with colour while still able to see the animation. I know that this is a long process and I worry about time consumption as I am thinking of completing a fight scene within my animation if I get to the point I wish within it.
