Established in 1979 and is engaged in implementation of Housing programmes sponsored by State and Central Governments for Weaker Sections in Andhra Pradesh. A P STATE HOUSING CORPORATION
The Corporation has so far completed 100.05 Lakh houses in Rural and Tribal areas and 8.70 Lakh houses in Urban areas, totaling to 108.75 Lakh houses by the end of 2011-12 upto 30.11.2012. ACHIEVEMENTS
MODE OF EXECUTION • The Corporation has followed a unique method of executing the houses with beneficiary participation in Rural and Urban areas wherever houses are taken up in Independent manner. • It is executing houses through contractors in Urban area where houses are taken up in G++ pattern. • It has also involved the NGOs in execution of houses for the poor and victims of Flood.
SELECTION OF BENEFICIARIES • INTINTI INDIRAMMA-Door to door survey by A multi disciplinary Mandal team. • Taking photograph of the beneficiaries in front of the exiting residence. • The District Collector accords administrative sanction for the eligible persons • The details of the beneficiaries sanctioned under the program are registered online in the housing website www.housing.ap.gov.in for recording real time physical progress and payments.
INFRASTRUCTURE • Need to be taken up in 2 phases. • Basic infra for construction of houses • & Total infra for occupation. • - Water Supply - Electrification - Approach Roads (Integrated with MGNREGS) - Internal Roads & Drains - Sewerage - Plantation - community building like School, anganwadi, PHCs as part of inclusive development

SELF FINANCING- RAJIV GRUHAKALPA • 90% Bank loan and 10% beneficiary contribution. • 250 sft flat at Rs 0.82 to 1.35 lakh unit cost. • Taken up 26144 houses In 42 municipalities where beneficiaries were able to get the Bankers support
BENEFICIARY PARTICIPATION • 98% of the 108.48 Lakh houses are done by the beneficiaries them selves through self help and mutual help.

APSHCL is the Nodal Agency for NKs in the State. 88 Nirmithi Kendras are functioning under APSHCL guidance. Since inspection Rs.339.75 crores worth of precast components were produced and Rs.323.05 crores worth material utilized in construction of houses. So far 41,440 Masons were trained in construction activity.
MANDAL AND VILLAGE NIRMITHI KENDRAS • To bridge the gap between demand and supply of building materials, VNKs are established through Village Organizations (VOs) of Self Help Groups. • Block making units and centering units are sanctioned under the scheme • SERP/IKP is implementing the scheme. VOs for VNKs are identified by IKP machinery. • The cost of each unit is `.1,00,000/-. `.85,000 is APSHCL Loan and `.15,000 is VO contribution. • 1712 brick units and 1821 centering units have been sanctioned in all 22 districts. • About 442 block making units and 80 centering units are functioning.

Brief background on AP Housing Board • Andhra Pradesh Housing Board (APHB) came in to existence from 7th July 1960 in pursuant to Andhra Pradesh Housing Board Act, 1956. • Main objective of the Board is to provide housing accommodation to the needy people at an affordable cost. • APHB has constructed 104147 houses under HIG, MIG, LIG & EWS categories. • The Board has also constructed 13 office complexes with a total plinth area of 72082 Sq. Mts. and let out to various Government Institutions.
Joint Ventures of APHB • 24 Projects have been taken up under Joint Venture with private sector. • Services of Crisil is engaged for Bid Project Management. • Joint Venture Projects are under revenue sharing method. • Twin sources of revenue • (a) Development Fee • (b) Revenue Share • LIG Units.
Brief Introduction on DILL: • The Government of AP permitted APHB to create a Subsidiary under Section 21(A) of the APHB Act, 1956 for administrative & operational convenience and to create ability to access capital markets. • Consequently, Deccan Infrastructure and Land Holdings Limited (DILL) has been incorporated on 14.12.2006 as a Company under Companies Act, 1956 • The Equity holding of APHB and GoAP in DILL to come by way of transfer of land • Land Transfers and Equity Holdings
Public issue proposed during 2007-2008: • Government approved creation of DILL to have an ability to access capital markets. • DILL planned for an Initial Public Offer (IPO), in which GoAP to divest part of their Shareholding (i.e Approx 10% of the total holding of Company) to mobilize approximately Rs.1500 to Rs.2000 Crores. • Due to the unfavorable market conditions, the Company has kept the process of accessing capital markets on hold.
