  1. 4π γ-SPECTROMETER FORTOTAL REACTION CROSS SECTIONS STUDIES WITH6,8He, 8,9Li EXOTIC NUCLEI M. Davidova, J. Indrei, K. Oppelova FLEROV LABORATORY of NUCLEAR REACTIONS Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia International Student Practise in JINR, Dubna 7. 7. 2019 - 21. 7. 2019 Y. Sobolev, S. Stukalov

  2. Aim of the work • The aim of this work is a measuring of the response functions (energy resolution, efficiency etc.) of scintillation CsI(Tl) & CeBr3-NaI(Tl) 4π γ-spectrometer for the experiments with beam of exoticnuclei 6,8He, 9,11Li.

  3. Motivation

  4. Plans for the nearest experiment (November 2019) : • To get data on total cross sections for the reaction 6He + 59Co, 6He + 181Ta, 9Li + 59Co 9Li + 181Ta were obtained in the energy range E=(10 - 30 AMeV). • To determine the dominant reaction channels for 6He + 181Ta at E=(10 - 30 AMeV) • by gamma spectroscopy (12 module CsI(Tl) gamma spectrometer • will be completed by 8 CeBr3-NaI(Tl) phoswich detectors).

  5. TWO METHODS of σRDIRECT MEASURING • Attenuation and Transmission Methods typical experimental conditions: σRN ≈ 10-24 5 10 20 << 1 TRCS are including ∀INELASTICprocesses 1- simultaneous measurement of I0ensembles of beam particles which hit target и Ipassed without interaction “attenuation method” 2- simultaneous measurement of I0ensembles of beam particles and the corresponding reaction events (I0-I)“transmission method” [T.J. Gooding, Proton Total Reaction Cross Sections at 34 MeV, Nucl. Phys. Vol. 12, Issue 3, 2 July 1959, P. 241–248;] и Айсберга [R. M. Eisberg, Proton total reaction cross sections at 62 MeV, Florida Optical Model Conference Report, (1959);] “attenuation method” [E.J. Burge, The total proton reaction cross section of carbon from 10—68 MeV by a new method, Nucl. Phys. объединены: ”Our technique was based on the so-called attenuation (or transmission) method [Gooding59], which has been previously used for the direct measurement of σR in proton-nucleus collisions “.

  6. Spectrometer response function on M-gamma and E-gamma and experiment and GEANT4 analysis

  7. Modified transmission technique based on: 12CsI(Tl) or 8CeBr3or 12CsI(Tl)&4CeBr34Π -spectrometers

  8. Oscilloscope’s output PMT Anode pulse MT GATE for ADC

  9. LISE++ analysis

  10. Measured spectra NaI(Tl) inclusive spectrum CsI spectrum NaI(Tl) coincidence spectrum

  11. PARIS collaboration

  12. Conclusion • We got to know with scintillation detectors e.i. NaI(Tl) and CeBr3. • These scintillation detector has good rate between price and quality of results. • We get to now with electronics, used for measuring energy spectra.
