  2. External examination • Measure/weigh body • Check fingernails • Check for any odors clothes • Lividity in legs (position of body @ TOD) • Extract vitreous humor for toxicologist (its Michael Jackson btws)

  3. Internal Examination • Make a ‘Y’ incision

  4. Viewing Internal Organs • Saw off ribs • Examine organs but don’t take it out

  5. Removal of organs • Remove all organs • Place on table • Disect

  6. Removing the Brain • Make an incision in the scalp, pull it off • Gently lift out the brain

  7. Weighing the Organs • Weigh organs (not stomach or intestines) • Toxicologist drains stomach and intestines • Samples are taken to analyze.

  8. Return Organs to the Body • Organs are put back or filler material is put in

  9. Sewing up the Body • After organs are replaced, body is sewn up
