  1. Virtual model of elements of one of MX beamline at the Australian Synchrotron Facility (ASF). The model includes a removable kappa ‘head’ attached to the omega platform . The model is incorporated in STAC and was derived as VRML and then X3D from a STEP file provided to Sandor Brockhauser by the ASF. Doug du Boulay then utilised the model as part of a browser based system for driving the model with the intention of remotely assessing data collection strategies.

  2. Ewald construction ‘capturing’ the volume of reciprocal space swept out by the area detector is displayed as the crystal is rotated with a virtual Kappa goniostat. [RSPACE - a reciprocal-space modelling tool. M. R. HARRIS and M. FITZGIBBONJ. Appl. Cryst. (1989). 22, 624-627]
