  • Now add the oil to the water and shake carefully.

  • As we read the book, signal when you hear about a structure or a behavior that helps a duck survive.

  • Place one feather on the table and spray once or twice with water
  • With the other feather, dip your fingers in the oil and pull the feather through your fingers 2 or 3 times.
  • Once the feather is coated in oil, spray the feather with water.
