Top 6 SEO tools

each business person

must know of

1. Google Keyword Planner

Use Google Keyword Planner to determine search

volumes for the keywords you have shortlisted to get an

idea of their frequency of use and ranking. From there,

keywords and phrases that have the highest search

rankings should be your focus.

2. Google Trends

Google Trends helps determine historic data and search

histories for your chosen keywords. The data regarding

usage of your keyword is depicted in an interesting

graphical format.  This will help you map this information

geographically and suggest other relevant keywords.

3. MozBar

MozBar is your best tool at getting instant information from

any website you are visiting. SEO has a lot to do with knowing

what works, and MozBar helps you do exactly that in one

glance. MozBar is inbuilt into your header. As you click on it, it

helps you generate instant reports of the website you are on.

The toolbar has three major activity highlight: Page Elements,

Page Attributes and Link Data.

4. Google Search Console

Google Search Console helps you monitor and maintain your

site’s presence on Google Search.  By using the Search Traffic

tab and the Search Analytics tab, the tool brings up a list of

keywords you’re currently ranking for. Following this, sort your

keywords by ranking position and target the ones that are on

the second page of the search results. With a bit of a SEO

magic, you should see them creep up onto Page 1!

Being able to dig around on the backend of your site,

getting to know how it functions and identifying any issues, if

any, is a crucial step in reaching optimisation ‘nirvana’.

WooRank Plugin scrapes your site and informs you of any

inefficiency. It is a great tool to get an overview of yours and

your competitors’ website.

6. Outdated Content Finder

All SEO Ranking signals revolve around content of some

kind and highlight the impact good content has on your

site. If you are struggling to find good content to talk

about, this is for you. Simply feed in the term you wish to

be ranked for and Outdated Content Finder will suggest

relevant and similar topics you can talk about.
