Online games and virtual worlds have produced in the past few years economies that have become sufficiently complex to on one hand exhibit a rich set of intended, and unintended behaviors, and on the other to represent an increasingly interesting target to those who want to exploit them beyond the limits set by their creators. As complete control is not possible, and the boundaries of the physical and digital realms blur, the interplay of what is possible, what is desirable, and what is malicious, defines the future of these important platforms of entertainment, social development, and business interaction.
