PARTICIPATE There are a number of ways a student can participate in his or her IEP meetings – here is a list starting at the top with the most involvement • Leading independently • Leading with support • Initiating parts of the IEP process • Introducing participants • Questioning participants • Speaking • Answering • Attending or choosing not to attend • Student is invited to meeting
