Challenges 1) The non uniformity of number plate in terms of size, design and condition. 2) Dirty number plates were a challenge.

  4. Solution The cameras capture the image of the number plate at the entrance of the plant and the OCR extracts information. The extracted information is displayed on the dashboard along with other details like time, date, number plate, & image of vehicle. The auto filled data is verified and updated in the system instantly. The speed detection system captures video of vehicles from cameras installed all over the plant and sends real time alerts if any vehicle is found violating the rules. ● ● ● ● Business Impact After implication of vehicle tracking the plant observed reduced overspeeding incidents and saved precious labour hours with automated number plate detection.
