How to fix “Error initializing QBPOS application log”? • Solution: Complete the QBPOSShell task by editing the contents of the QBPOS Shell folder. • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard, then click Task Manager. • Select QBPOS Shell under the Processes tab. • Choose Finish Task. • Manifest hidden folders • Start Windows and navigate there. • The File Explorer icon can then be chosen once you type "file explorer." • Select the Hidden items checkbox after choosing the View tab. • Rename the folder for the QBPOS Shell.

Search for "Intuit" in C:UsersUser logged onAppDataLocal. • The (QBPOSshell.exe URL...) folder with the most recent modification date should be opened. • Rename the user.config file by using the right-click menu. • Give the file the new name "user.configold." • After closing the window, launch QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale once more.
