  2. Posture – Sitting Down • Back reclined • Arm folded or draped across the chest • Shows defensiveness • Arm supporting the head • Mind is occupied by other thoughts • Head down and retracted, not looking at speaker/s • No desire to listen Boredom or Lack of Interest

  3. Posture – Sitting Down 2 Interested to Listen • Head and torso moved forward • Arms and hands placed together in front • Shows interest in the speaker and so to listen better • Legs spread slightly • Shows openness or welcoming the discussion

  4. Mona Lisa Smile • Eyes slightly curved • Showing happiness • Lips pursed but edges curved into a small smile • Smile shows happiness • Pursed lips to show not wanting to share the cause of her happiness ex. A secret

  5. Hand Waving • Smile and happy expression • Shows delight in meeting /seeing the person • Raised hand • shows desire to catch attention like a sign • Waving of the hand sideways • Speed shows eagerness to catch attention

  6. Need to Use the Toilet • Bulging eyes, biting the lips • Shows an agitated expression, distressed • Hands held together over the groin • Shows protection and defensiveness over the area • Legs squeezed shut • Shows an attempt to hold it in

  7. Head Scratching • Face scrunched or wrinkled • Shows irritation or confusion • Hand scratching the top of the head • Shows confusion so trying to unscramble thoughts • Trying to stimulate the brain
