Prohibited Items in Building: Personal Electronic Devices Guidelines

This document outlines the prohibitions on personally owned electronic devices entering the building. Such items include, but are not limited to, cell phones, computers, tablets, digital players, peripherals, cameras, and recording devices. All non-company-owned devices require prior authorization from Security and Tech offices. These items may be stored at the front desk but are not allowed in the inner building. For further information, please consult the Company Acceptable Use Policy or contact local Security or Tech Support offices.

Non-Company owned electronic devices are considered “Personally Owned “and are prohibited from this building without prior appropriate authorization by the Security and Tech Offices: Personally Owned electronic devices include, but are not limited to: • Cell Phone (e.g., Flip, Non-Flip) • Computer (e.g., Desktop, Laptop) • Tablets (e.g., iPad, Surface, Tab) • Digital players (e.g., iPod, Zune, MP3 players in general) • Peripherals (e.g., Storage Devices, USB, Firewire, etc.) • Smartphone (e.g., iPhone, Galaxy, One) • eReader • Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) • Bluetooth and/or wireless devices (e.g., headsets, mice, keyboards, are not permitted in building. • Non -Company owned cameras and recording devices. Examples of Recording and Recording-Capable Devices include, but are not limited to: • Smart Pen (i.e. Livescribe Echo) • Personal audio recorder (i.e. Olympus Digital Voice Recorder) • Mobile Phone or Smart Phone (i.e. iPhone) • Personal Media Player/MP3/MiniDisc Player (i.e. iPod, Zune) • Tablet or Slate Device (i.e. iPad, ) • eReader (i.e. Nook, Kindle) • Computer System (i.e. notebook, netbook, desktop, etc) • Digital Still Camera (i.e. Canon Powershot SD1300is) • Digital Video Camera (i.e. Flip UltraHD) • Tape-based Video Camera • Disk-Based Video Camera • Tape-based Audio Recorder (i.e. Cassette player) • Disk-Based Audio Recorder (i.e. MiniD player) • And other devices with recording capabilities are prohibited . • List is not limited above items or any generic duplicate of examples above. • The above articles may be stored in personal storage provided at the front desk on site but are prohibited from entering the inner building. For additional information and/or restrictions, refer to the Company Acceptable Use Policy, or local offices of the Security Office, or Tech Support Office located in this building.
