Review underway. • Bulk Connections: profits static; reduced coal exports offset by rise in other product exports as benefits of capex spend create multiple product handling capability; Spoornet reliability remains a challenge; Negotiations with NPA for increased lease terms and additional handling rights ongoing. • SABT: profits down 29% on substantially lower agricultural exports; cumulative capex of >R100m yet to yield return. • SACD: profits up 12%; discussions with NPA in Durban to explore potential for extended lease terms & larger facilities. • BPO: profits down 13% due to a substantial decline in steel and forest product exports by major clients.
