Semi-Adjustable Articulators Accept the following records 1-Accepts facebow transfer record to mount upper cast.
3- Accepts protrusive records to adjust the articulator’s horizontal guidance.
Semi-Adjustable Articulators 5- The lateral condylar guidance is adjusted according to the Hanau’s formula L=H/8+12 • L = the lateral condylar path • H = the horizontal condylar path angle which is recorded from the patient.

Fully adjustable articulators • Accept the following records: 1-Accept Face bow record to mount the upper cast.
2-Accept centric occluding relation record to mount the lower cast.
Fully adjustable articulators 3-Accept protrusive record to adjust the articulator horizontal condylar angles. 4-Accept right lateral record, to adjust the right condylar angle. 5-Accept left lateral record, to adjust the left condylar angle.
6-Incisal guidance angle adjusted according to the patient .
6- Inter-condylar distance adjusted according to the patient.

Arcon articulator • The condyles are located on the lower member of the articulator and the condylar guidances are on the upper member. • AR=Articulator • Con= Condyle. Arcon
Non arcon articulator. • The condyles are located on the upper member of the articulator and the condylar Guidance on the lower member.
Articulator Design • Arcon - condylar element on lower • Just like the condyles are attached to the mandible • Mechanical fossae located on the upper member just like the glenoidfossae • Non Arcon - condylar element on upper • Unlike natural anatomy • The condylar path (glenoidfossae) is located on the lower member
