MPV implementation in DSC. Toshikazu Hayashi OLYMPUS CORPORATION 10.14.2003 OSS. Current Status. Prototype was developed based on commercial product. No hardware change was needed. Implementation was very easy. Additional firmware size is less than 16kB.

  2. Current Status • Prototype was developed based on commercial product. • No hardware change was needed. • Implementation was very easy. Additional firmware size is less than 16kB. • MPV can manage multi-shot, panorama, QuickTime movie as well as regular photo.

  4. Our Next Step • Add MPV functionality on bundled software with DVD-R burning function. • Add Album Synchronization between DSC and Storage so DSC can be used as mobile viewer.

  5. Our Future • Minimal functionality of maneuvering digital image should be provided either with PC or without PC. • DSC then should create MPV file by itself and all the memories, mind, excitement and so on should be stored to storage directly.
