  2. Why Stakeholder Meetings? At the core of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Estuary Program (which PREP is one of 28 nationally) is a mandate that program actions be stakeholder-driven. Federal assistance to solve problems identified at the local level

  3. Why Should You Participate? If a particular issue does not have an Action Plan in the PREP CCMP, then: • A project can not be supported (i.e. funded) by the PREP • The plan can not leverage federal, state, or other funding (i.e. NH Shellfish Program) Often puts local issues in a watershed context

  4. 1995 - New Hampshire Estuaries Project (NHEP) formed in NH state government. Development begins of Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) 2000 - Implementation of CCMP begins, 98 Actions 2005 – NHEP moves to University of New Hampshire, Minor update of CCMP 2008 – All of the Great Bay Estuary watershed is added 2009 – Name change and full CCMP update begins
