  4. Take a picture every day for a week that responds to the theme Isolation. This exercise will get you thinking about how abstract forms, shapes, lines and tone can suggest meaning. In this challenging time isolation can take on multiple meanings with each person having a different perspective. You’re now spending more time at home, more time in your own company, more time with your family. You are also now part of a wider community, with people isolating across the world. You have a different routine and a different daily life. You'll need a white A4 piece of paper and a graphite pencil. Crease, fold, rip, roll and tear a piece of paper to create tiny sculptures that each represent a chosen emotion (pain, sorrow, excitement etc). Draw these mini sculptures (with a camera too!) including the shadows and add notes about the chosen emotion.

  5. There are many different viewpoints to consider, so try to document a different point of view each day. You could draw your emotions, daily routine, workspace or perhaps an outside space if you have one. Go to this Pinterest Board https://pin.it/31NcVad for more inspiration

  6. Complete an A3 drawing of one of your images. • Use any media you like, but please fill the page. • Consider the composition and tonal quality of your drawing. What does it feel like to be isolated? How can you show this? •
